About this project
A Viennese cross pattern in a drawing room with a grand piano. We ran the pattern along the axis of the room so the rows meet the centre of the French window. Under the instrument the floor is reinforced, because a grand concentrates a lot of weight on a small area. The finish is a hard oil that takes the piano stool castors and can be renewed after years without sanding the whole floor.
