About this project
Smoked oak cladding on a concrete staircase. The landings and the bottom step were treated as one piece with the adjoining hall floor, so the transition never ends in a strip. The treads have a rounded edge and a finish with higher abrasion resistance, because these stairs are used every day. Under the cladding is a resilient layer that keeps footsteps from carrying through the house.
